Loss and win for Serbia U21 team

Birmancevic and Jovanovic made debut for U21 team

Our Veljko Birmancevic (Cukaricki FC) and Djordje Jovanovic (Lokeren) made debut for the Serbian U21 national team in control matches, where coach Goran Djorovic wanted to try out the available forces for the European Championship next year.

In addition to the two, Dejan Joveljic also played at the matches with Montenegro and Macedonia in Petrovac and Podgorica.

Serbia first lost to Montenegro from (0:2), and then defeated Macedonia (1:0).

Birmancevic was one of the best on the field against Montenegro, while he was sent off against Macedonia in the end of the first half, because of a conflict with an opponent.

Jovanovic got a chance against Montenegro, and brought a lot of life into the game when entering the field.

Joveljic, who is in great shape, was among the best on both matches - against Montenegro was not lucky to score, and against Macedonia he entered the game in second half, and was a step away from the goal but the opponent literally knocked him from behind in the last minutes of the game, and for this reason he earned a red card.
